With the new series PSJ2 and PSG4 current sensing resistors, KOA is expanding its range of Metal Plate Power Shunts. The four-pole design of the PSG4 in size 2725inch with welded copper connections makes a high current of up to 140 A possible. These low-resistance, non-inductive power resistors are available in the ohm values 0.5 and 1 mΩ in size 2725 and from mid-2017 on also in size 1216. The four-pole technology reaches temperature coefficients of less than 50 ppm/K as well as a long-term stable performance with temperature changes. AEC-Q200 test data are available.
The PSJ2 series is suitable for current measurements up to 244 A (200 μΩ). The resistors with welded copper termination allow power ratings from 6 W to 12 W. These low-resistance, non-inductive power resistors are available in the values 0.2 to 2 mΩ in size 3920 (PSJ2) and from mid-2017 also in size 2512 (PSL2). AEC-Q200 test data are available and allow use in many automotive and industrial applications at a working temperature range from -65 to +175 ᵒC.
